DAY TWO What to do
Budding historians can travel back in time with a trip to the famous Wollaton Hall, above, located three miles west of the city centre. Go behind-the-scenes on a tour of this Elizabethan mansion’s hidden quarters, or pay a trip to the natural history museum full of zoology, geology and botany collections. Set in 500 acres of spectacular gardens and parkland, it’s also a great spot for a picturesque stroll on a crisp winter’s day. Look out for the resident deer who roam the delightful park.
