Mrs Brown’s new challenge

Actor Brendan O'Carroll, star of the hugely popular comedy Mrs Brown’s Boys, is set to take charge of a brand new quiz show.

Called For Facts Sake the 61-year-old Irish comedian said, “When we did the pilot it was great fun, if we can capture that on the screen we are all in for a good time.”

The show will put Brendan – and the audience's – knowledge to the test with various different TV rounds. And he’ll also be joined by some of his Mrs Brown castmates – including his real-life wife Jennifer Gibney (Cathy Brown). They will be on regularly as rotating captains on the two teams. n The new series is due to air later this year on BBC1
