Cash machine warning

I would like to warn anyone who uses a cash machine to make sure they get a receipt. I recently tried to get some cash out, but although my card was returned, plus a receipt, no money came out. If I hadn’t asked for a receipt I would have assumed that there was no money in the machine and wouldn’t have known that the money was taken out of my account until I received a statement, or checked online. The bank assured me the money would go back into my account but could take up to 19 days. I received it in 16 days. This could cause hardship for many people. It should never take so long.
