Meeting Place
Welcome to the heart of the magazine. If you’ve got a funny story to share, need to let off steam or have a picture you’re proud of – get in touch. You could end up on the UK’s biggest letters pages.
Phone mania
■ Has anyone else noticed how the first thing visitors do when they arrive at your house is to put their mobile phone on charge? Jennifer Ford, Andover
Banana farce
■ Now we are acutely aware of the harm plastics do, I don’t understand why bundles of bananas are wrapped. Who eats banana skins? I even see customers putting unwrapped bananas into a plastic bag. June Jones, Swansea
Quackers for food
■ The little birds didn’t get a look in when this duck took over the bird table at Fairburn Ings RSPB bird reserve!
Mrs S Hall, Halifax
Bloomin’ brilliant gift
■ In 2011 Yours offered every reader a free tree peony to celebrate the wedding of Prince William and Kate. I applied and seven years on, this photo show how fantastic the peonies are. This year I counted at least 30 or more buds and yet again it is a wonderful sight. Janet Brand Essex
The joys of letter writing
■ Having recently been ill, I have had time on my hands to catch up with my letter writing. I so enjoyed getting in touch with friends and family. Texts, emails and social media are very good but can’t compete with the delight of sending and receiving a letter in the post. How lovely if our children were taught this dying art at school. Do other Yours readers agree?
