Bird mobile

This pretty bird mobile is quick to knit and a great way to use up odd scraps of yarn. It would make a lovely addition to a baby’s nursery

-

A fantastic and fun way to use up scraps of yarn from other projects. If you are a total beginner, use the yarns recommended, but if you are growing in confidence, experiment a little.

The great thing about this project is that if the birds come out in different shapes and sizes, it will add to their charm, so it isn't essential to get the gauge correct. Just follow the pattern, but use the correct needle size for the yarn you choose – check the ball band. And don’t forget to use your artistic licence when sewing on the finishing touches!

TENSION AND

MEASUREMENTS

Each bird varies in size, but is approx 15cm (6in) from end of tail to tip of beak. Tension is not crucial for this project.
