QCouriers tend to deliver my parcels to neighbours if I’m out and I’d rather they didn’t, but I don’t have a ‘safe space’ to leave them. How can I avoid a trek to pick them up?

Jenny, by email Yours says Some companies allow you to have your orders delivered to a local shop, but if it must come to your home, the secure Smart Parcel Box can receive mail and parcels if you are out. Each parcel box has its own unique barcode which can act as proof of delivery should your parcel or delivery firm need it.

QHow can I stop the intrusion of cold callers?

Name and address

supplied Yours says No Cold Calling Zones were set up to help combat this problem. You can ask your local council about how to nominate your street. If it’s unable to help, a door sticker will ask them to stay away. If they still call, open the door, point to the sticker and close the door.

QI accidentally dyed a skirt in the wash. How can I stop this from happening again? Ruby, Margate

Yours says You need to rewash it quickly to try to remove the colour, so keep some Dylon Colour Run Remover in your cupboard. If you put a Colour Catcher or two in each wash, it can prevent this from happening again. Available from supermarkets.

QI’m a befriender at a care home, and love talking to the residents about their lives. Is there an organisation that records their stories for future generations?

P Marsden, Portsmouth Yours says The Listening Project is a partnership between the BBC and The British Library. Conversations from across the UK, covering everything from living with Alzheimer’s to falling in love in a Reliant Robin, are all archived by the British Library.
