1972: This photo of my lovely husband and me was taken on our wedding day. I wanted a relaxed country-style wedding and thought my softly layered cream dress with satin bow, matching hat and basket of flowers captured the day perfectly. Maxine Rooke, Nottinghamshire

1967: These three girls were the beautiful bridesmaids at my November wedding, wearing bell-sleeved long dresses in Royal Blue crimplene with pink accessories. This kind of material was so practical, it’s surprising we don’t use it today. Maureen Jeffery, Northamptonshire
