Fasten off, add stuffing and sew to the body.
SHELL TOP
Start in Dark Green (Colour D), Ch12, join to make a ring. Rnd 1: ch3 (counts as 1tr throughout), 1tr in ring, (ch1, 3tr in ring) five times, ch1, 1tr in ring, sl st in 3rd ch, fasten off [6 3tr clusters]
Rnd 2: attach Lime (Colour C) to any chain space, ch3, 1tr in same space, ch1, 3tr in same space, (ch1, 3tr in next space, ch1, 3tr in same space) five times, ch1, 1tr in next space, sl st in 3rd ch, fasten off. [12 3tr clusters] Rnd 3: attach Dark Green (Colour D) to any chain space, ch3, 1tr in same space, (ch1, 3tr in next space) eleven times, ch1, 1tr in next space, sl st in 3rd ch, fasten off. [12 3tr clusters] Rnd 4: attach Lime (Colour C) to any chain space, ch3, 1tr in same space, (ch1, 3tr in next space) eleven times, ch1, 1tr in next space, sl st in 3rd ch, fasten off. Rnd 5: attach Dark Green (Colour D) to any chain space, ch1, 1dc in each st around. Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing. Place the shell top over the body and stitch all around. Use contrast colours to embroider dots on top of the head and add a smile to the front of the head. Stitch down eye pieces to finish.
Safety note: If making for children under 18 months you may prefer to sew on eyes rather than using safety eyes.
