And we’re so glad she does. Her latest novel is a gem and we can’t wait to see her on the small and big screens again this Christmas.
Dawn will be reprising her role as vicar Geraldine Granger in three specially written ten-minute episodes – in a similar format to the ‘shorts’ made in aid of Comic Relief.
The Vicar of Dibley in Lockdown sees Geraldine delivering sermons over Zoom video call, offering her musings on life, faith and of course chocolate.
The specials will air after repeats of some of the series’ most iconic episodes over the festive period, with the entire series set to be available on BBC iPlayer. The three tenminute episodes will also air as one 30-minute special over Christmas, with an exact date to be confirmed. Dawn is delighted to be playing Geraldine again. “Back in the dog collar, back in Dibley and back on your telly at Christmas,” she said as the news was announced. “I couldn’t be happier. Bless you.”
