Last year at Starfish cottage

Hey Neil, great little place you have here! This is our first time in the UK, visiting from Australia with the mother-in-law who has been tracing her family tree. It’s been thirsty work! So for the benefit of future visitors, here are the three best pubs in the area. The Prince of Wales (decent burgers), The Feathers (friendly atmosphere) and The Belle and Dragon (a bit poncey for my taste but loved the food).

Hello Neil, it’s so lovely you took over the cottage when Linda sold up. Only here for a long weekend this time but just to say you have done up the cottage beautifully. The new kitchen and bathroom are amazing and the wood burner makes the living room so snug!

Dear Neil It was very nice to meet you. Thanks for calling round with a loaf and milk for us on arrival.
Dad and I have had a quiet week, but an emotional one. We used to come here on holiday when I was a boy. Mum appreciated the serenity away from the bustle of Manchester. We couldn’t think of a better place to scatter her ashes. And she would have loved Starfish Cottage. All the best, Ryan and Geoff (Chorlton)

OMG! We just wanted to say again – sooo sorry for the noise and hope we didn’t disturb you too much! We totally realise this wasn’t the best place for a hen party and maybe not a good idea to invite all the hens here for pre-party drinks. Please pass on our apologies to The Belle and Dragon? And The Feathers? They weren’t open when we called round this morning (lol).
Loadsa love from Sarah (bride-to-be) and Cheryl (chief bridesmaid), (Wrexham)

We’ve had a great week hiking and cycling in the hills. The power shower was ace for getting the mud off! We’ll defo be back :)

Baby Noah’s first trip away from home! He has been a little angel, sleeping though the night (mostly!). Archie loved walkies on the beach and we managed to keep him off the sofa this time! Happy Christmas from the Smith family

Dear Neil Thanks again for booking us in at short notice. Dubai didn’t work out. Our Gavin was stopped at the airport for having a ‘suspicious item’ in his backpack. What a palaver! It’s a relief to have him and his brother next door at Seahorse Cottage where we can keep an eye on them. Very kind of you to let us use it while you are away in Luton helping your girlfriend with her house move. Don’t blame her for deciding to make this area her home – it has a lot going for it!
PS. Mavis is very impressed with all the improvements you’ve made since we were here last. Says she’s looking forward to meeting Angela on our next visit!
