Plan ahead to take a break

Hopefully, 2021 will be a better year! Here we share our advice on planning for a trip away when we can

-

Thousands of people were shielding for most of 2020 and carers in particular found life becoming increasingly difficult because their support services were cancelled. Holiday plans were also shelved, but we all need something to look forward to. There’s a lot to think about when plans include someone with special needs, but it is possible for the person being cared for, as well as the carer, to have time out, subject to current restrictions.

Revitalise is one of the largest providers of respite holidays with on-call nurseled care for disabled people and carers in the UK. Revitalise launched a special scheme last year to help provide funding for people who were struggling to cope with caring during the pandemic.

Carers who visit Revitalise can rest assured that the person they care for will be well looked after while they themselves enjoy a break.

Carers in particular deserve a break – even if it’s a day out locally!
