MAKING UP AND FINISHING

Sew in ends.

Pin one side of zip to one side of top opening inside bag, and sew in place. Pin other side of zip to match on other side of opening and tuck in spare tape at each end. Open zip and sew other side, making extra stitches at each end to keep tape ends tucked away. Rep on second bag.

Tips

Work over the tail ends of each yarn colour change to avoid sewing them all in at the end.

Change colour on last yarn round hook of current round.

COLOUR COMBINATIONS LARGE BAG

For the large bag work rounds 1-13 in same colour throughout.

SMALL BAG

For the base of the smaller bag change colour for each round. When working the sides in a continuous spiral, change colour as and when – usually several times each round.
