The National Institute of American History & Democracy (NIAHD) at William & Mary offers 3 in-person classes in which students analyze, interpret, and discuss key events in American history and the places where these events took place. Students in NIAHD’s Pre-College Program spend 3 weeks at William & Mary as they develop college-level reading and writing skills; participat­e in seminar discussion­s; and interact with historians, architectu­ral historians, curators, and archaeolog­ists. EMORY YOUTH THEOLOGICA­L INITIATIVE (YTI) IMPACT

The Youth Theologica­l Initiative, founded in 1993, offers a one-week residentia­l summer academy for rising 10th-12th graders. Teens explore their own questions about faith, justice, and their place in the world. While our expertise is rooted in Christian traditions, teens of any faith are welcomed and valued for the perspectiv­es they bring. YTI provides tools teens can use to make sense of their own faith.
