Ralph Taylor Denholm

AKRON - Ralph Taylor Denholm, age 95, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 11, 2024. He was born on August 27, 1928. He married Patricia Rose Denholm on August 27, 1949, and they celebrated 74 years of marriage together.

Ralph graduated from Kenmore High School in 1946. ln 1951, he joined the United States Marines. After his military service, he started working for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company. He started out as a lineman climbing telephone poles. Over the years due to his strong work ethic and abilities, Ralph was promoted to district manager. He retired after 37 years of service to the company.

Ralph was a member of Arlington Memorial Baptist Church and for the past 48 years was an active member of The Chapel, where he served as a head usher. He loved to golf and was active in two golf leagues until 2021. Ralph was a member of the Ernest F. Schaeffer Lodge #739. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and earned the 33’d Degree. He served three terms as Master Mason of the lodge.

Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; his parents, James and Isabella Denholm; son, James Denholm; sister, Jean Will; and his son-in-law, Randy Adams. He is survived by his son, Mark (Joan) Denholm; daughter, Heather Adams; son, David (Debra) Denholm; granddaugh­ters Leslie Denholm, Alison (Bryan) McGinnis, Emily Denholm, Megan (Matt) Nettleton, Melissa Adams, and Michelle (Jonathan) Kary; grandsons Tyler (Natalie) Denholm and Todd (Sherdonna) Denholm; great-grandchild­ren, Ava and Noah McGinnis, Eloise and Evie Denholm, Ansley, Alex and Abigail Kary, Tristan (Krishna), Jackson, and Andrew Denholm; 1 great-great-grandchild, Cayden Denholm.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Suncrest Hospice and Vitalia Montrose Assisted Living Staff for the wonderful care they provided to our father in his time of need.

Friends may call from 12-1 P.M. on FRIDAY April 19, 2024 at the Billow FAIRLAWN CHAPEL, 85 N. Miller Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333. Private interment for immediate family at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
