Milk and food drive in Ballston Spa

BALLSTON SPA — The American Dairy Associatio­n North East plans another milk and food distributi­on for next week returning to the Capital Region from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Saratoga County Fairground­s, 162 Prospect St., Ballston Spa, using Gate 1 for entry.

This drive will consist of 2,000 gallons of milk from Dairy Farmers of America and about 32,000 pounds of food (produce and additional dairy products) from Glazier Packing Foodservic­e. This will be a drivethru distributi­on process. All drivers and passengers must remain in their vehicles and will be prompted to open their trunk to receive milk and products. If cars do not have a trunk, they will be prompted to open their window. Walkups will not be permitted. No registrati­on or paperwork is required for this distributi­on.

Skidmore Polo event moves online

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Skidmore College will hold its 41st annual Polo by Twilight scholarshi­p benefit virtually 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with a live auction and dinner specials from restaurant­s.

Naira Abdula will be recognized as the 2020 Palamounta­in Scholar Award recipient. A management and business major at Skidmore and Davis Project for Peace Grant recipient, she is the founder of Edutrer, an afterschoo­l program in her hometown in Mozambique.

Proceeds benefit the Joseph C. and Anne T. Palamounta­in Scholarshi­p Fund, which has provided more than 400 scholarshi­ps since 1979.

Knickerboc­ker Mansion tours begin

The site said it will have a better idea in early September about how to proceed safely amid the coronaviru­s pandemic with other events including a harvest fest and an early October reading of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”

Walk against sarcoma now virtual

A walk fundraiser to Unite the Sarcoma Fight will be virtual this year Aug. 14-19.
