Art-related talks planned in Saratoga Springs area
SARATOGA SPRINGS — The city’s Arts Commission and Skidmore College host a series of free town hall discussions with local arts leaders. The first discussion will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, and will focus on arts for young people. The panelists will talk about community impact, accessibility and ideas for art in the city.
The moderator will be Aili Lopez, program director of C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios.
The panelists will be: Leigh Berenis, executive director of Saratoga Children’s Theatre; Sarah Dipasquale, assistant professor of dance at Skidmore College Dance To Success/bridges to Skidmore; Julianne Lewis, Saratoga site director of C.R.E.A.T.E.
Community Studio; Dennis Moench, senior director of education at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center; Vivian Nesbitt, program coordinator of Caffè Lena School of Music; Sunny Ra, Laurie M. Tisch educator for K-12 and community programs at the Tang Teaching Museum

Other town halls are set for March 9, June 8 and Sept. 14. The Arts Commission works to foster and advance art and culture in Saratoga Springs by promoting the city as a premier arts destination, guiding policy for artistic and cultural growth and working in cooperation with the community to enrich and enhance both the local economy and the quality of life in the city.
