Norman in hospital with virus after tournament
Golf Hall of Famer Greg Norman shared photos on social media Friday suggesting he has been hospitalized with COVID-19.
The Australian, 65, posted a video on Instagram on Thursday saying he was experiencing coronavirus symptoms, then posted photos Friday showing himself in a hospital bed.
Norman’s son, Greg Norman Jr., also said on social media that he and his wife, Michelle, have tested positive. The Normans played in the father-son PNC Championship in Orlando, Florida, last weekend.
NHL: The Chicago Blackhawks and free-agent center Carl Soderberg agreed to a $1 million, one-year contract. Soderberg, 35, had 17 goals and 18 assists in 70 games for the Arizona Coyotes last season.
MLB: The Texas Rangers signed Japanese pitcher Kohei Arihara to a $6 million, two-year contract. He led the Pacific League with three complete games and was second in innings with 1322⁄ 3. ... Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo says the team isn’t ruling out a reunion with Ryan Zimmerman after acquiring slugger Josh Bell to play first base this week. Zimmerman, 36, opted out of the 2020 season due to the pandemic, but said he would like to return in 2021 for a 16th big league season — the previous 15 have all been with the Nationals. “The acquisition of Josh Bell isn’t going to prohibit us from looking for a good right-handed hitter that comes off the bench or plays multiple positions,” Rizzo said.
