Wright, Marist knock off Rider

Ricardo Wright scored a season-high 22 points as Marist topped Rider 76-67 on Saturday night.

Braden Bell had 15 points for Marist (8-6, 6-6). Matt Herasme had eight rebounds and Jordan Jones added three blocks.

Allen Powell scored a career-high 20 points for the Broncs (4-11, 4-8).

Quinnipiac 78, Niagara 69: Brendan Mcguire scored seven points over the final 1:13 to help Quinnipiac hold off Niagara. Mcguire finished with 19 points for the Bobcats (4-6). Marcus Hammond scored 22 points for Niagara (6-8).

America East men

NJIT 74, Stony Brook 65: Zach Cooks scored 25 points to spark NJIT to the win. The Highlander­s (5-6, 4-5) held a 31-7 edge in bench scoring, getting 12 points from Miles Coleman and 10 more from Antwuan Butler. Jaden Syles scored 32 for the Seawolves (6-7, 4-3).

MAAC women

Rider 77, Quinnipiac 74 (OT): Amanda Mobley and Maya Hyacienth each scored 18 points to spark Rider to its third win of the season. All five starters for Rider reached double figures. Raphaela Toussaint sank two free throws with 23 seconds left in regulation to force overtime and then nailed a critical 3-pointer late in overtime to propel Rider (3-14, 2-10) to the victory. Amani Free scored a game-high 25 points for Quinnipiac (7-5, 5-3).

Marist 67, Niagara 45: Caitlin Weimar scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to spark the Red Foxes. Marist held Niagara to only two field goals in the fourth quarter and outscored the Purple Eagles 17-4 over the final 10 minutes. Angel Parker scored 13 points for Niagara.

America East women

Maine 67, Binghamton 46: Anne Simon scored 22 points and Blanca Millan added 20 points to spark first-place Maine (11-1, 8-1) over Binghamton (4-9, 4-7). The Bears shook off a sluggish first half with a 16-0 run in the third quarter.

Stony Brook 63, NJIT 51: Stony Brook started the fourth quarter on a 14-3 run and went on to beat NJIT to remain in second place in conference play. Asiah Dingle led four Seawolves (7-4, 5-2) in double figures with 11 points. Ellyn Stoll scored 12 points for NJIT (4-11, 4-7).
