Britton’s spark helps rally Streaks

He scores 11 of his game-high 22 in 4th to top Scotties

Saratoga Springs rallied for a 60-56 victory over host Ballston Spa on Saturday in a Suburban Council boys’ basketball clash.

The Blue Streaks were outscored 20-8 in the third quarter and found themselves down 42-37 heading into the fourth quarter. But Luke Britton scored 11 of his game-high 22 points in the final period to help Saratoga rally for the win. Dillon Waite chipped in with 12 points for the Blue Streaks, who sit at a perfect 2-0 overall and in the Suburban.

Kyle Blair and Andrew Haight each scored 16 points to lead Ballston Spa (0-2, 0-2).

More boys’ basketball: Shenendeho­wa coasted to its second win of the early season, rolling past host Burnt Hills 81-40 in another Suburban contest. Mason Courtney scored 22 and Devin Dzikas added 20 for the Plainsmen (2-0, 2-0). Timmy Marro had a team-high 13 to lead the Spartans (0-2, 0-2) . ... Stillwater outscored Saratoga Catholic 18-4 in the fourth quarter to pick up a 61-46 win. Isaac Cutler scored 22 points to pace the Stillwater (1-1, 1-1) offense. Hayden Day had 17 points for Saratoga Catholic (1-1, 1-1).

Girls’ basketball: Lauren Angelo had 15 points and Sophie Bissailon chipped in with 12 points to help Columbia (1-1, 1-1) get past visiting Schenectad­y 54-47 in a Suburban game. Janessa Jones had a game-high 19 points for the Lady Patriots (0-2, 0-2) . ... Tamarac opened its season with a 51-24 win over Hoosic Valley in a clash between Wasaren League schools. Syrita Faraj dropped in 21 points to lead the Bengals (1-0, 1-0). Becca Bruso had six points for Hoosic Valley (0-1, 0-1).
