Rodney Parker scored a game-high 33 points to spark Schalmont to a 72-62 win over Scotia in a boys’ basketball game in Rotterdam.
Parker had 12 points in the third quarter to help the Sabres build a 13-point lead through three quarters. He then went 6for-6 from the foul line in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
Trent Randle added 18 points in the win. The Tartans nailed 11 3-pointers to remain in the game, including five from Ben Kline in the second half. Kline finished with 17 points and Antonio Gianfarani scored 18.

Girls’ basketball: Freshmen Hannah Mulhern had 20 points and 10 rebounds and Alex Moses added 20 points, six assists and six steals as Duanesburg topped Middleburgh 54-27 . ... Amelia Wood scored 22 points to lead Averill Park to a 63-52 win over Colonie. Averill Park was 18-for-24 from the foul line. ... Valencia Fontenelle-posson scored 31 points and Guilderland sank 13 3-pointers in beating Shaker, 72-64. Fontenelle-posson scored 12 points in the second quarter when the Lady Dutch outscored the Blue Bison 27-15 to take control of the game. Guilderland was 13-for-26 from 3-point range.
