Italiano, Elizabeth Costa

— Elizabeth Costa Italiano of Latham entered into eternal rest on the morning of June 17, 2021, at The Samaritan Hospital after a short illness, surrounded by her family.

Born in Troy, Elizabeth was a loving and grateful and generous person who was totally committed and devoted to her family and friends.

For 64 years, Elizabeth was the caring and beloved wife of the late Anthony Italiano and the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Frank Costa.

She was predeceased by her sister Barbara Lomascola and her five brothers,

Joseph, Nicholas, Frank, Patrick and Victor Costa and many other relatives and friends. She is survived by her thoughtfull and caring brother Peter Costa of California. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Many thanks to Barbara Raymond, Deb Heider and Alice Brown for their care and support.

It was Elizabeth’s wish to remember her dear and personal friend Shirley Ellett and her close neighbors, Maribeth and Tim Dooley.

Elizabeth was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Shrine Church in Troy.

There will be no viewing hours however you are cordially invited to participate in a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Shrine Church in Troy. Entombment will take place following the Mass in the mausoleum in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Troy.

Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 in Elizabeth’s memory.

May she rest in peace in the shadow of Our Lord.
