Ricci, John M.
— John M. Ricci,
80, formerly of Guiliana Circle, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Vanrensselaer Manor.
Born in Troy he was the son of the late John E. and Marie Santora Ricci. He was a 1958 graduate of Catholic Central High School.
John was employed as an electronic technician at MTI in Albany and retired in
2016 after 50 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a former member and past treasurer of the Speigletown Fire Co. An avid fisherman and bowler, he had belonged to the
Trojan Keglers and Crazy 8’s Bowling Leagues. He also volunteered at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall.
He was the husband of the late Bernice Skiba Ricci, who died in 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Valerie Wade (Bill), of Weeki Wachee, Fla.; his brother, Patrick Ricci of Clifton Park; and his sister, Kathy Fiaschetti of Speigletown. He was the proud grandfather of
William F. Wade III and Brittnay Wade. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his best friend of 65 years, James Halpin.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford and at 9 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, from 4-7 p.m..
