Williams, Harold J.
HANNACROIX — Harold J. Williams, 62 of Hannacroix, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Harold was born in Albany, the son of the late Arnold L. and Marion E. (Palmer) Williams. He was married to the former Sherry (Hinkley) Williams and shared a blessed union of seven years prior to his passing.
At one time, Harold was employed as Sprinkler Fitter with Local 669 in Maryland, he also worked for Albany Fire Protection for 30 years. He was also past chief and member of the Selkirk Fire Company for 14 years as well as a past commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America
Harold is survived by his loving wife, Sherry; his cherished children, Amy (Steven) Mitchell and Douglas (Rebecca) Williams; his stepdaughter Christie (David) Price; his sister, Judy (Frank) Boehlke; and his brother, Robert (Lynne) Williams. He also leaves his adored grandchildren, Aidan Falso, Lucas and Wyatt Williams, Euan Mitchell and Ciarnan Mitchell; as well as his brother-inlaw, Charles Cary. He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Cary.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Thursday, June 24, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Memorial services for Harold will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. immediately following the gathering in the funeral home. Social distancing will be observed. Inurnment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Selkirk.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Harold’s memory to the Capital City Rescue Mission, 259 S. Pearl St, Albany, NY, 12202.
