Gordon, Geraldine Francis Fath

PLEASANTDALE — "For everything thing there’s a season and she’s had hers."

Geraldine Francis Fath Gordon passed peacefully at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness on July 7, 2021.

Born in Troy on May, 15, "19??" She married her beloved husband Arthur C. Gordon who preceeded her in death in 1985. Together they were the proprietors of Fath Cash Market from 1960 to 1987. The store was a social hub and staple of the Pleasantdale community.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor, joyful spirit and as a friend to many. Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester J. and Elsie M. Fath; baby brother Robert Fath; older sister Elsie Shirley Fath; twin brother Joseph H. Fath; and granddaughter Rhiannon Rose Gordon.

Survived by her five children: David (wife Lien), Donald (wife Debbie), Drew, Diane Smith (husband Keith), Darren (wife Pam); three grandchildren: Wayne (wife Nancy), Erica (husband Jared) and Steven; great-granddaughters: Abigail and Sophie; and cherished sister-in-law Roberta Tebordo and husband Nick.

Gerry wants to thank all her Earth Angels who enabled her to live at home until her last days .... you all know who you are!

A special thank you to Samaritan Hospital staff and Community Hospice for providing dignity to the end.

She will be missed...gone too soon.

The family will hold a private graveside service per Gerry’s request. Friends are invited to attend a graveside service in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Waterford on Wednesday, July 14, at 10 a.m.
