BRUNSWICK — Shirley Margaret Gardam, 96 of Brunswick, born on May 28, 1925, passed away peacefully at home on July 21, 2021, surrounded by her children.

Shirley was born in Newboro, Ont. and lived in various homes in Ontario, Michigan, Florida and New York with her late husband, the Reverend Robert F. Gardam. In addition to being a devoted mother, she was involved in multiple parish activities, including church guilds and charity work. In her later years, she particular­ly enjoyed the Albany Symphony Orchestra.

She was predecease­d by her brothers and sister and beloved niece, Lillian Dowling. Shirley is survived by her four children, Robert of East Berne, Brian (Claire) of Canton, Maggie (Peter Bigras) of Perth, Ont., and David (Mary Mccarthy) of Brunswick; grandchild­ren, Sarah Gardam Thomas, Sonja Mishalanie, Rachel Lamb, Eric Mishalanie, Adam Ahlquist, Andrea Gardam, Ethan Gardam, and Nicholas Gardam; and greatgrand­children, Lucy Thomas, Violet Thomas, Miles Mishalanie, and Madeleine Lamb-curtin.

A graveside memorial will be held next spring in Newboro, Ont.
