ALBANY — Michael G. Fitzgerald, 75, formerly of Albany, more recently of Massachusetts, died Friday, July 23, 2021, at Tufts
New England Medical Center, Boston.
Mr. Fitzgerald was born in Utica, N.Y. January 1, 1946, the son of Edward and Pearl (Becker) Fitzgerald and spent his early years in Albany.
He leaves his wife of 12 years, Rosalinda (Butao) Fitzgerald; two sons, Christopher M. Fitzgerald and his wife Ruthanne of Hollis, N.H., Gregory Fitzgerald of Wilmington, Mass.; three grandchildren, Ryan Fitzgerald, Jack Fitzgerald and Maggie Fitzgerald.
He was a 1963 graduate of Colonie Central High
School, Colonie, N.Y. and continued his education at Siena College in Loudonville, N.Y.,
Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, N.Y. and the University of Hartford, Hartford, Conn.
Mr. Fitzgerald worked many years as an electrical engineer for several companies including Scientific Solutions in Nashua, N.H., Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, Comm., Bolt, Beranek and Newman in Cambridge and AARC in Burlington.
Mr. Fitzgerald was an automobile enthusiast and a member of the Corvette Club of America. He enjoyed playing golf, ten pin bowling and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Mr. Fitzgerald’s family will receive family and friends at calling hours 4-7 p.m. Monday, July 26, at Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street (Rte. 119) Townsend Center. Burial services will be held privately.
