MECHANICVI­LLE — RoseMarie Auman, 80, a former resident of Mechanicvi­lle, died on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, after an extended illness.

Born in Nyack, N.Y. on March 4, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Camillo and Rose Lembo DiGirolamo. RoseMarie was a tool crib operator for the Watervliet Arsenal for a number of years before retirement. She enjoyed all kinds of games, including poker, yahtzee, and bingo, and was an avid N.Y. Yankees fan who regularly watched their games. She was also a coupon gatherer, known to of have a coupon for just about everything. RoseMarie was a member of the Halfmoon Senior Citizens and as a Roman Catholic practiced her faith at several Catholic churches over the years.

Survivors include her son Verdon (Darcy) Auman of Mechanicvi­lle; daughter Deana (Peter) Kirbach of Saratoga Springs; grandchild­ren, Daniel (Michele) Auman, Kevin Auman, Christian and Maria Kirbach, Divan Guile, and Shawna (Seth) Alonzo; great-grandchild­ren Caitlyn, Taylor, Landon, Logan, Hunter, Parker and Connor; a brother John (Leslie) DiGirolamo of Florida; along with nieces and nephews. RoseMarie was predecease­d by her loving companion of many years, Daniel "Nature" Fusco, who died in 1993; and siblings, Felicia Culver, Mary Davidson, Emily Martin and Bernard DiGirolamo.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 11, at 1 p.m. in All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 N. Main St., Mechanicvi­lle with burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Mechanicvi­lle. Calling hours will be at the DeVitoSalv­adore Funeral Home, 39 S. Main St., Mechanicvi­lle on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembranc­es may be made to Community Hospice in loving memory of RoseMarie Auman.
