MEDUSA — Our angel, Janet Louise Ormsbee Case was granted her wings on Thursday, June 9, 2022.

Janet was born on November 7, 1945, in Brooklyn and was raised on the family farm in Medusa by her parents, Doris and Walter Ormsbee. Janet and Ronald Case Sr. were married on August 28, 1962, and they chose to stay in Medusa to raise their family. She enjoyed gardening, baking, quilting, traveling and most of all spending time with her family. Everyone that knew her will remember her for her extreme kindness and many selfless acts. Everyone was always welcome in her home and she looked forward to hosting any family gathering.

hosting any family gathering. Janet was an amazing cook and baker. She made many cakes over the years for birthdays, showers and weddings. Janet was an extremely proud grandma and attended all the events and activities: ball games, dance recitals, concerts, if you asked, she was there. Janet was an extremely dedicated lifetime member of the Medusa Volunteer Fire Company and even served as the president. She was proud of her firehouse family and spent many hours serving the community.

Janet was predecease­d by her parents, Doris and Walter Ormsbee; and her grandson, Charles Duncan. Janet is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ronald Case Sr.; her children, Ronald Case Jr. (Stacy), Justin Case (Becky), and Juanita Case; grandchild­ren, Matthew Duncan (Joleen), Ronald Case III (Tabatha), Amber Case, James Cliffe (Kylie), Austin Case, Hannah Case, Justin Case Jr., Elijah Case, Willow Case, Harmony Case, Serenity Case and Krystiana Case; one very adored great-grandchild Alex Case; her sisters, Kathy Kearney (Claude) and Valerie (Todd) Davis and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, June 16, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. The funeral will be at 1 p.m., followed by burial in the Medusa Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Medusa Volunteer Fire Company, 28 CR 351, Medusa, NY, 12120 would be appreciate­d.
