Quioto, Choiniere power Montreal

Mathieu Choiniere scored the go-ahead goal in the 47th minute after entering at the start of the second half and Montreal held off Charlotte 2-1 on Saturday night.

Quioto opened the scoring in the sixth minute for Montreal.

Guzman Corujo tied it for Charlotte in the ninth.

Seattle 3, Kansas City 0: Will Bruin staked Seattle to an early lead, Jordan Morris and Cristian Roldan added second-half goals and the Sounders breezed to a victory over Sporting Kansas City. Bruin took a pass from Roldan and scored on a header in the 8th minute to give the Sounders a 1-0 lead. Jordan Morris headed in a pass from Nouhou Tolo in the 71st minute to stretch the Sounders’ lead to 2-0. Roldan capped the scoring in the 76th minute with an assist from Morris.

Nashville 3, D.C. 1: Defender Daniel Lovitz scored early, Hany Mukhtar followed with his third brace of the season and Nashville SC rolled to a victory over D.C. United. Taxiarchis Fountas scored in the 59th minute for United (4-10-2). It was his sixth goal of the season.

Toronto 2, Atlanta 1: Ralph Priso broke a tie in the 78th minute to help Toronto FC beat Atlanta United. Jonathan Osorio opened the scoring for Toronto in the eighth minute. Luiz De Araujo tied it for Atlanta in the 57th.

Miami 2, Minnesota 1: Indiana Vassilev came off the bench and scored two goals in the final three minutes of regulation to rally Inter Miami CF. Vassilev took a pass from Bryce Duke and scored the equalizer for Inter Miami (6-7-3) in the 87th minute. He added the game-winner in the 90th. The goals were his first of the season. Luis Amarilla broke a scoreless tie with a goal in the 65th for Minnesota United (5-8-3).

Houston 2, Chicago 0: Thorleifur Ulfarsson and Darwin Quintero scored first-half goals and Steve Clark made them stand up in the Dynamo’s victory. Adam Lundqvist assisted on Quintero’s sixth of the year. Clark had four saves.
