Giants’ Barkley doubtful Monday

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Star running back Saquon Barkley has been listed as doubtful for the New York Giants' game against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night because of a sprained right ankle.

Barkley practiced on a limited basis Saturday for the third straight day and coach Brian Daboll listed him as doubtful on the final injury report.

Daboll also said star left tackle Andrew Thomas would miss his third straight game with a hamstring injury.

Raiders’ Garoppolo ruled out

HENDERSON, Nev. — Jimmy Garoppolo was ruled out of Sunday's game at the Los Angeles Chargers because of a concussion, making the Las Vegas Raiders' starting quarterbac­k a mystery.

Refs admit Liverpool 'error'

LONDON — The referees’ governing body in England admitted a “significan­t human error” after Luis Diaz had a goal ruled offside in Liverpool’s 2-1 loss at Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday.

Diaz struck what he thought was a 34th-minute goal in the match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, only for it to be ruled out.

The Profession­al Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) later admitted the mistake.
