Southwestern Vermont Health Care announced that Mack Molding, a privately owned business of Don Kendall and his family, donated $5 million to its emergency department expansion and renovation project.

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, in partnership with Dartmouth-hitchcock and Avera Health, will launch EICU CARE, an around-the-clock monitoring service for patients in the intensive care unit. The new capability will allow patients with certain conditions that would have required a transfer to larger medical centers to be treated at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.

The Pike Company Inc. announced that it acquired Albanybased construction firm BCI Construction Inc. BCI’S leadership and project management staff will join Pike, and all existing BCI projects will be completed with the existing teams over the next year.

Tully Rinckey PLLC announced the opening of its Dublin office. Tully Rinckey Ireland is the first step of a long-term investment focused on the international diversification of the firm’s markets and practice areas.

IT’S AN HONOR

Mohawk Honda was recently presented with the Platinum-level Honda Environmental Leadership Award, a program designed to help independently owned and operated Honda and Acura dealerships reduce their environmental footprint.

Kevin L. Hickey, water/wastewater technical group leader at CHA Consulting Inc., was selected as a member of the 2018 Class of the Water Leadership Institute. Hickey was one of 54 professionals chosen to participate in the selective program that promotes leadership in the water and wastewater industry.

Hill & Markes was ranked in the Top 15 on Apruve’s Janitorial/sanitation ecommerce Rating Report Top 50. Kingsway Arms Nursing Center of Schenectady received an award from the MEMIC Group for outstanding on-the-job safety performance. Only seven other employers, out of more than 21,000 MEMIC policyholders, received an award for workplace safety from the workers’ compensation insurance specialist.
