Moore wants Hanks in White House

-

Michael Moore is ready to see Tom Hanks take on his biggest role yet.

The documentary filmmaker made his case for why he believes Hanks should run for President as a Democratic candidate.

“When you say people don’t love Trump, you clearly have never watched ‘The Apprentice.’ People loved that show, and he was kind of a beloved figure. Why don’t (Democratic officials) run beloved figures?” Moore told ABC’S Peter Travers in a new interview.

He then explained why he thinks Hanks is the perfect fit — and said he’s twice asked the Oscarwinning actor to run for the Oval Office to no avail.

He then named Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey as other prominent figures he believed would be strong candidates that would garner votes.

“We could win if we ran somebody people wanted to vote for,” Moore said.
