Redford walks back retirement quotes
Legendary actor Robert Redford is having second thoughts about announcing his retirement.
“I think it was a mistake to say that I was retiring because you never know,” Redford, 82, told People magazine.
His latest movie “The Old Man and the Gun,” which Redford said he expects to be his last, hits theaters Sept. 28.
“I shouldn’t have said that because it draws attention away from the film.”
The star confirmed his plans to retire in August.
“Never say never, but I pretty well concluded that this would be it for me in terms of acting, and (I’ll) move towards retirement after this ‘cause I’ve been doing it since I was 21,” Redford told “Entertainment Weekly.”
