2 accused of assaulting man in Saratoga Springs

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Two city men were arrested early Friday morning after allegedly breaking into a Congress Street apartment and assaulting a man, Saratoga Springs police said.

Dominick M. Martin, 31, and Brandon D. Towers, 38, were charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree assault and fourth-degree conspiracy

– all felonies – after officers, responding to a call around 2 a.m., arrived at 88 Congress St.tofinda 28-year-old male with apparent scrapes to his head and face. The victim declined treatment.

Police said Towers and Martin knocked on the apartment about 20 minutes earlier and, once the door was opened, “shoved their way inside and physically assaulted the victim.”

No weapons were used or displayed, police said. All three men were acquaintan­ces.
