LATHAM — Anna M. Heins, 89 of Latham, beloved wife of the late Marcel J. Heins, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Albany Memorial Hospital with her loving daughter at her side.

Born February 9, 1929, in Watervliet, Anna was the daughter of the late Walter and Sophie (Wasieleska) Orloski. She married Marcel J. Heins on August 5, 1950, and the two shared a blessed union of 62 years prior to his passing on August 11, 2012. Anna was employed with the Town of Colonie Highway Department as a secretary. She worked there for more than 20 years before retiring in 1992. She was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was an avid Yankee fan like her beloved Marcel was.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Barbara Heins of Greenwich, Conn.; along with her sister, Stella Spanske of Bruce Township, Mich. Anna is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law.

Anna was predecease­d by her son, Paul M. Heins in 2002; as well as her brothers, John, Walter and Benjamin Orloski and a sister Sophie Orloski.

Her family is grateful for the care and compassion of the staff of the Albany Memorial Hospital Critical Care Unit, especially Dr. Timothy Waters; nurses, Jen, Patrick, Eric, Tammy, Barb, Kelly, Diane and Shelley; and techs Jiewa, Jose and Leah.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday November 1, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham.

Funeral services will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home immediatel­y following the visitation with Deacon Helmut Neurohr officiatin­g.

Interment will take place in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.

Joe graduated from the former Keveny Memorial Academy in Cohoes. He attended Russell Sage College in Albany.

Joe was a veteran of the US Navy. He proudly served aboard the USS Fulton. He was also a member of The American Legion in Little River, S.C.

He was employed by the State of New York for over 28 years, retiring as the finance officer of the State Division of Veterans Affairs. In 1997, he relocated to Myrtle Beach, S.C.

In addition to his parents, Joe was predecease­d by his brother, Reverend Father Francis Husselbeck.

Joe is survived by his two sisters, Sister Mary Francesca Husselbeck, RSM of Albany and Ellen Feeney (Gary) of Niskayuna; children, Eric Husselbeck (Joanna) of Las Vegas, Judith Husselbeck (Mike Savoca) of Ballston Spa, Kurt Husselbeck (Andrea) of Schenectad­y, Kevin Husselbeck (Shannon) of Huntington and their mother, Marilyn Husselbeck of Colonie; grandchild­ren, Kesandra Husselbeck, Ryan Husselbeck, Owen Husselbeck, Ian Husselbeck, Kieran Husselbeck, Jamyn Husselbeck.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Road, Schenectad­y, New York 12303.
