Vincent, Dolores "Dee"

ALBANY — Dolores F. “Dee” Vincent (Ravita) 75, passed away on October 25, 2018. Dolores was born on February 19, 1943, in Albany, the daughter of the late Charles and Angela Marie Ravita (Amorella).

She was a graduate of Cardinal Mccloskey High School and went on to immediatel­y work for the N.Y. Telephone Company, where she worked for 30-plus years until retirement. In retirement, she worked part-time for the Albany Police Department as a crossing guard and for Hannaford Bros. Dolores enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially the gatherings on Seminole Avenue. She also enjoyed shooting pool at the Polish American Citizens Club and the Zaloga Post where she held membership and was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Dolores is survived by her son Ricky Vincent; granddaugh­ter Bella M. Vincent, both of Albany; Sophia L. Davis (who treated Dolores like a mother) of Albany; sisters, Margaret Franklin (late Tom), Ann Marie Van Alstyne (Fred), both of Colonie; brother Joseph Ravita (Sandra) of Biloxi, Miss.; numerous nieces and nephews; stepson Michael Vincent (Sharon) of Berne; stepgrandc­hildren Michelle and Heidi Vincent, both of Berne and Heather Mohlenbrok (Bob) of Middleburg­h; and her beloved Bichon Frises “Vinnie” and “Frankie”. She was predecease­d by her husband Gerald G. Vincent; brothers, Francesco and Charles Ravita, both of Albany.

Despite battling several ailments, Dolores never let it stop her from being with family and friends and having a good time. She was a devout lover of all animals and those who wish can make donations to the Hudson-mohawk Humane Society in her name.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dee’s family Thursday, November 1, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Mcveigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany, NY 12206.

Funeral services Friday, November 2, at 8:15 a.m. from Mcveigh Funeral Home, Albany thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12206 at 9 a.m. where her funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will be held in Graceland Cemetery, Albany, immediatel­y following the funeral Mass.
