LAKE PLACID, Fla. — Warren H. Sheldrick, 69, of Lake Placid, Fla. and formerly of Latham, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Florida Hospital in

p Sebring, Fla. with his family at his side.

Born in Albany on November 5, 1948, he was the son of the late Warren H. Sr. and Alice (Garhartt) Sheldrick. Warren was married to Dorothy (Ryan) Sheldrick in 2002 and had shared a blessed and devoted union of 16 years, prior to his passing. He proudly served as a Lance Corporal during the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps, where he received many commendati­ons.

Warren was employed as a tractor trailer driver for 30 years with Tobin First Prize and Williamsbu­rg Transport in Saratoga Springs. He was also a member of the Joseph Zaloga American Legion Post #1520 in Albany. Warren was an avid fisherman, bowler, baseball coach to his son and sports enthusiast who loved his Atlanta Braves and Cleveland Browns.

In addition to his beloved wife Dorothy, he is survived by his loving son Brian (Becky) Sheldrick; his step children, Lisa Pucci, Maria Sherman and Jason Morgans; as well as his cherished grandsons, Brian and Cooper Sheldrick. He is also survived by his sister Alice (William) Bowman; uncle Tom (Joanne) Garhartt; many nieces, nephews and stepgrandc­hildren.

He is predecease­d by his stepson Kevin Sherman; and his brother Wayne Sheldrick.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday November 1, from 4-7 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham.

Warren’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Warren’s memory to the Vietnam Veterans c/o The Joseph Zaloga Post, 4 Everett Rd, Albany, NY 12205.

Interment with military honors will take place in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
