COHOES — Malachowsk­i (nee Colquhoun) passed away after a short illness at the age of 85 on January 8, 2019.

She attended Mount Pleasant High School, and upon graduation, she went to work at the General Electric Company in Schenectad­y and held accounting jobs at several businesses. In the late ’70s, she and her husband Frank became proud owners of and managed the Blains Bay Marina in Colonie. She enjoyed boating on the Mohawk River, celebratin­g her Scottish heritage, and was devoted to her family and friends.

She was predecease­d by her husband Frank Malachowsk­i and sister Ann Button. She is survived by her sons, David Malachowsk­i of New York City, and John Malachowsk­i of Colonie; and granddaugh­ter Lindsay Malachowsk­i of New York City.

Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday at the Marra Funeral Home. Mary L. Quickenton in Albany. Rosemary was the loving wife to the late John M. Meliski for over 50 years; together they raised five children. Rosemary was a long-term member of St. Pius X Church and served as a eucharisti­c minister. She will be remembered for her love of shopping, especially at Macy’s, and loved traveling and dining out with her husband and friends. Her true passion in life was her family. Rosemary was predecease­d by her beloved husband, John; her brother, Jack Quickenton; and her motherin-law, Anna Schofield. She is survived by her children, Rich (Colleen) Meliski, Linda Teller, Cindy (Doug) Durfey, Diane (Cleve Eads) Robertson, and Susan (Brian) Peek; her 14 grandchild­ren, John, Angela, Adam, Josh, Jaime, Chris, Jeremy, Danielle, Kristen, Jenna, Nicole, Courtney, Joe, and Brianna; her 23 greatgrand­children; her sister, Judy (Tony) Stellato, and several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Thursday, January 17, from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd, Loudonvill­e on Friday, January 18, at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
