No. 1 Clemson (4-0, 3-0 ACC) at Georgia Tech (2-2, 2-1), Noon (ABC-10)

■ Line: Clemson by 27

■ Series: Georgia Tech leads 50-32-2

■ What’s at stake: Coming off a highly anticipated win over then-no. 7 Miami, Clemson will try to avoid a letdown and protect its No. 1 ranking. The Yellow Jackets already have matched their 2019 total with two ACC wins in their second season under coach Geoff Collins. The Yellow Jackets will play for their first win over a No. 1 team since beating Virginia 41-38 on Nov. 3, 1990.

No. 3 Georgia (3-0, 3-0 SEC) at No. 2 Alabama (3-0, 3-0), 8 p.m. (CBS-6)

■ Line: Alabama by 4

■ Series: Alabama leads 40-25-4

■ What’s at stake: From a national standpoint, this is undoubtedly the biggest SEC game of the year and it garners even more attention because college football’s most famous coach has COVID-19. Alabama coach Nick Saban tested positive on Wednesday, leaving the Crimson Tide with another challenge and potential distraction. It’s the season’s first Top-5 matchup. Just three weeks in, Georgia and Alabama are the league’s only remaining unbeaten teams. The loser could easily come back and win their division, setting up an SEC championship game rematch. The winner could at least pull closer to No. 1 Clemson.

■ Line: Aggies by 51⁄

2

■ Series: Mississippi St. leads 7-6

They visit a Bulldogs squad reeling from consecutive losses, including last week’s 24-2 loss at Kentucky featuring six interceptions and a season-low 275 yards from the Air Raid offense.
