Schauffele gets hot late to give him 3-shot lead

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Xander Schauffele shot a career-best 29 on the back nine, including seven birdies over eight holes, to give him an 8under 64 for a three-shot lead over Tyrrell Hatton after the second round of the CJ Cup.

Colleges: The NCAA is stripping Umass of victories in men’s basketball and women’s tennis and imposing a two-year probation for overpaying 12 athletes about $9,100 in financial aid over three years.
