Mitch Mcconnell's reign has got to end
Now that we have a new president-elect, both moderates and independents can take credit for removing the current administration from office for the good of our country. In reality, we all know President Donald Trump was never more than a puppet, a symptom of a bigger problem. Undeniably, we are all better off without him, but now is the time to rid ourselves of Senate Majority Leader Mitch Mcconnell’s control of the U.S. Senate agenda and future appointments to the U.S. Supreme Court. He has done enough damage.
We should all be tired of the extremists in Congress. We all suffer when elected officials fail to work cooperatively for the good of the country or the Constitution. We deserve better and we should not tolerate our lives being controlled by Mcconnell, R-KY.
Just look at where Kentucky ranks in health care (No. 44), education (No. 38), the economy (No. 39) and fiscal stability (No. 45).
Mcconnell has done nothing to help his own constituents; why should we believe he will ever work to make our lives better? Where is the economic stimulus package so many people and businesses desperately need?
There is no need to weigh the fitness of either incumbent Georgia senator. Their records are abysmal and criminal, but that is beside the point. Removing both from office effectively removes Mcconnell’s control, and that is a worthy accomplishment.
Georgia and Atlanta are truly the best of the new South; they represent good getting better. They can lead our country to a new and more moderate normal that represents the best interests of all citizens. That would truly be something worth wishing for this holiday season. Jim Dombrowski Delmar
