— Judith A. Hart, 79 of Green Island, entered peacefully into eternal life on Sunday, January 3, 2021.

Born in Waterford on August 30, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth J. and Kathleen (Bombard) Hart. She was a communican­t of St. Ambrose Church in Latham.

Judy received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from The College of Saint Rose and an additional master’s degree from Russell Sage College. She worked as a teacher, employed by St. Joseph’s School in Green Island and then the Watervliet School District before retiring.

Judy had made many, many friends throughout her life. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and member and past president of the Green Island Senior Citizens. Judy had a special love for animals, gardening and enjoying the "GIG" concerts right from the comfort of her own backyard.

She is survived by her loving sister Sally J. (late Ernie) Duval; her sister in-law Elizabeth "Liz" Hart; and her very best friend Yardsley Macpherson. Judy also leaves behind many, many nieces and nephews along with many grandniece­s, grandnephe­ws and cousins. Judy was predecease­d by her siblings, James K. Hart, Robert L. (Mary Lois) Hart and Joy K. (William) Bryk

Judy’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Brian Kelly on Friday, January 8, at 10 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Relative and friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham.
