Garza has 24 for No. 5 Hawkeyes

College Park, Md. Luka Garza scored 17 of his 24 points in the decisive first half, and No. 5 Iowa roared back from an early deficit by keeping Maryland scoreless for nearly eight minutes in an 89-67 victory Thursday.

Jordan Bohannon chipped in with 18 points for the Hawkeyes (10-2, 4-1 Big Ten).

Gonzaga 86, BYU 69:

Corey Kispert scored 23 points as No. 1 Gonzaga beat rival BYU.

Wisconsin 80, Indiana 73 (2OT): D’mitrik Trice scored 21 points and Tyler Wahl made consecutiv­e 3-pointers in the second overtime to lead No. 8 Wisconsin.

Colorado 79, Oregon 72: Mckinley Wright IV recovered from a scary fall to score 21 points and Colorado held off No. 17 Oregon.

Women

Louisville 71, Virginia Tech 67: Dana Evans scored 22 points, including four in the final 1:07, and No. 2 Louisville slipped past Virginia Tech.

Texas A&M 77, Kentucky 60: Jordan Nixon scored a career-high 19 points to lead No. 8 Texas A&M to a win over No. 10 Kentucky.

Maryland 93, Michigan

State 87: Ashley Owusu and Chloe Bibby each scored 20 points and No. 12 Maryland beat No. 23 Michigan State.

Tennessee 88, Arkansas 73:

Rennia Davis and Rae Burrell scored 26 points apiece and Tennessee beat No. 13 Arkansas.

Mississipp­i State 68, Florida 54: Jessika Carter scored 25 points and No. 14 Mississipp­i State turned back Florida.

Michigan 64, Nebraska 62: Naz Hillmon matched her career best with 35 points and No. 15 Michigan held off Nebraska.

Ohio State 78, Illinois 55: Jacy Sheldon scored 20 points and No. 16 Ohio State won its first road game of the season.

Indiana 85, Penn State 64: Mackenzie Holmes scored 27 points to lead No. 19 Indiana.
