son Vandenburg of Colonie, age 19, the thirdplace contestant on “American Idol” in spring 2019, will perform in the show.
It will stream beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday on the Palace’s Youtube page, bit.ly/palacealbanyYoutube. The performances were recorded over several days in December in a space at the rear of the theater’s orchestra section, according to a Palace spokesman. The full concert lasts about 90 minutes, the spokesman said.
During the stream, donations may be made to benefit the Palace Performing Arts Center Inc., the independent not-for-profit organization that owns and operates the historic Palace Theatre. Donations may be made online at bit.ly/ Palace sessions donate or through the Palace’s Text To Give program by texting Palacesessions to 44321.
Since starting in July, The Palace Sessions has streamed roughly hourlong performances in the theater by Wurliday, Eastbound Jesus, The Amico-barady Quartet and Wild Adriatic. The four are available on the Palace’s Youtube page, as will the Formica-fredericks-vandenburg concert after it first streams.
The jam band moe., a regular visitor at the Palace for 25 years, used the theater for a free stream in November of the debut of its new album, “Not Normal,” and last month did a fulllength concert of different material at the venue that was shown online as a fundraiser for the Palace.
