NORTH GREENBUSH — Jeffrey D. Dagen, 56, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, January 10, 2021.

Born and raised in Latham, he was the son of John A. Dagen Sr. and the late Carol Ross Dagen. Jeff was a graduate of Shaker High School, class of 1983. He then went on to work for Albany Steel, which is where he noticed an opportunity in the trucking business. Jeff began his trucking empire with a small loan from his former boss and mentor Peter Hess and grew it into Dagen Trucking, Inc. Which is a company that he poured his heart and soul into. He was also an avid bodybuilder and has made many friends in the gym throughout the years. Jeff loved to travel and ride his motorcycle, but what he loved most was riding his tractor on his land. Jeff was extremely charitable with his time and money, always willing to help those in need. He held a special place in his heart for veterans and animals. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a man with the ability to tackle any task. Above all and most importantly he was a man with a heart of gold.
