No. 6 Kansas stunned by Okla. State

Williams steal and dunk at end seals upset for Cowboys

Cade Cunningham scored 18 points, and Oklahoma State held off a late rally to beat No. 6 Kansas 75-70 on Tuesday night.

Kansas trailed by three in the closing seconds and had possession, but Oklahoma State’s Bryce Williams stole the ball, drove the length of the floor and and dunked at the buzzer.

The Cowboys blew a 16-point lead in the second half before scoring the final eight points.

Williams had 17 points and Avery Anderson III added 14 for the Cowboys (9-3, 3-3 Big 12).

David Mccormack had a season-high 24 points for Kansas (10-3, 4-2).

Kansas rallied from an 11-point halftime hole for a 70-67 lead with 1:21 left.

Michigan 77, Wisconsin 54:

Mike Smith had 16 points and six assists, and No. 7 Michigan remained unbeaten with another dominant performanc­e, routing No. 9 Wisconsin.

Virginia Tech 74, Duke 67:

Tyrece Radford had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lift No. 20 Virginia Tech over No. 19 Duke.

North Carolina 81, Syracuse 75:

Garrison Brooks and Armando Bacot each had a double-double, and North Carolina pulled away in the last three minutes to beat Syracuse. The Tar Heels (8-4, 3-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) became the first men’s basketball program to play 1,000 regular-season ACC games. The Tar Heels are 708-292 in ACC history. Quincy Guerrier had 23 points and 11 rebounds for Syracuse.

Note: Maryland’s home game Saturday against Nebraska has been postponed after the Cornhusker­s went on pause following positive coronaviru­s tests.
