Taylor vaults into lead at Sony Open

HONOLULU — Nick Taylor fired an 8-under 62 to take the lead in the second round of the Sony Open on Friday at Waialae Country Club. Stewart Cink putted for birdie on all but one hole on his way to a 7-under 63 and was two strokes back in a five-golfer pack that included Webb Simpson, Chris Kirk, Russell Henley and Vaughn Taylor. Cink won the season-opener in the Safeway Open in September, his first victory since the 2009 British Open at Turnberry.
