Fontenelle-posson sparks victory

Guilderlan­d star scores 35 to get team past Bethlehem

Valencia Fontenelle-posson scored 35 points, including six 3-pointers, and Guilderlan­d held off a Bethlehem rally to win 80-66 in a matchup of Suburban Council teams on Monday night.

Lexi Martin added 23 for the Lady Dutch, including three 3-pointers, while Bella Gitto added 10.

Ellie Cerf led Bethlehem with 19 points, while Maren Louridas added 15.

More girls' basketball: Jenalyse Alarcon scored 18 points, including 7-for-10 from the free-throw line as Troy rallied for a 45-39 win over Burnt Hills. Nadia Brown added 12 for the Flying Horses.
