Ryan Strome had a goal and two assists and Chris Kreider had a goal and an assist in New York’s threegoal second period, leading the Rangers to a 6-2 win over the Boston Bruins with 1,800 fans on hand for the first time this season at Madison Square Garden on Friday night.

Julian Gauthier, Colin Blackwell, Pavel Buchnevich and Jonny Brodzinski also scored to help the Rangers get their third win in four games. Adam Fox and Ryan Lindgren each had two assists, and Alexandar Georgiev had 31 saves.

Boston, which got goals from Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron, was 5-0-1 in the previous six against the Rangers. David Pastrnak had two assists

The Bruins, who lost 7-2 to the Islanders on Thursday, have given up 13 goals in two games and lost four of five.

Wild 3, Kings 1: Minnesota blitzed L.a.with three goals in a span of 3:03 in the first period and held on for its sixth straight victory. Kirill Kaprizov, Nick Bjugstad and Joel Eriksson Ek scored for the Wild, who ended the Kings’ six-game win streak.

Cam Talbot stopped 27 shots, holding L.A. scoreless until Jeff Carter’s goal late in the third in his first action since Feb. 2. Jonathan Quick made 27 saves.

Avalanche 3, Coyotes 2: Nazem Kadri had a goal and two assists to lead Colorado past Arizona.

Sabres: Buffalo entered the weekend dealing with injuries to two key players and uncertaint­y as to whether coach Ralph Krueger is going to end the benching of high-priced forward Jeff Skinner. Starting goalie Linus Ullmark will miss at least both games of Buffalo’s series against the Flyers due to a lower body injury. Captain Jack Eichel is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury. And Krueger still wasn’t ready to say whether Skinner will resume playing after a three-game benching, while noting the reasoning behind his decision was related to team culture.
