Attempted murder charge in Oct. shooting

ALBANY — A 45-year-old city man was arrested Friday in connection with a shooting late last year on Lexington Avenue, Albany police said.

On Sunday, Oct. 18, at about 12:15 a.m., Michael Thomas shot a 31-year-old man in the back while in the area of Lexington Avenue and Sherman Street, police said.

The victim was treated at Albany Medical Center Hospital for non-life-threatenin­g injuries.

Thomas was charged with attempted murder and crimiphern­alia. nal possession of a weapon, arraigned and sent to the Albany County jail.

Search warrant

Four Albany residents, ages 21, 26, 28, and 37, are in custody following a search warrant that was used Thursday afternoon on Broad Street between Alexander Street and Fourth Avenue.

Gun incident

A Greenfield man, 22, was charged with reckless endangerme­nt, criminal weapon possession and menacing after he pointed what looked like a handgun at Saratoga County sheriff ’s deputies Friday morning.

The incident occurred near mailboxes of the Brookview Mobile Home Park, which is located on Route 9N in Greenfield, officials said. He eventually complied with the officer’s commands to drop the gun, which was determined to be a realistic pellet gun, investigat­ors said. No one was injured.
